About:

This is my humble attempt at a simple website. The website is contrived and constructed mostly in the Unix shell at sdf.org. I have chosen this method for its' simplicity and non-distractive format. The goal is to have a minimalistic platform to express my thoughts, keep a small bit of data I find useful accessible online, and to communicate without the intrusion of corporate entities.

31 Dec, 2021

For the love and good fortune I have received, I am forever in your debt. For the tribulation I have endured and overcome, I am grateful. For a life lived with purpose, I am blessed and privileged. I will sleep tonight with a heart full of love and a mind full of peace. With the love of my life beside me to share this contentment, life simply could not be more beautiful. I quietly close out another year feeling satisfied that I have lived and loved the way I wanted. Goodnight 2021. Cheers to all my friends and family near and far.

Mysterious Laundry

We have an unsolved case of laundry that was put away without our knowledge. Ghosts? Hmmm.

TECHNOPOCALYPSE

Yesterday afternoon, the internet and phone service was out. This affected a large portion of southern Indiana. Apparently, a digital line was accidentally cut. I lost internet service for over 10 hours and phone service was affected for apprx half that time. (metronet and verizon)

Camp Notes:

HAPPY VALLEY
FOOD/WATER (1 lunch/night/morning)

tent + accessories (2) air mattress and blankets Air pump tarp x 2 camp chair stove + gas flashlights lantern coffee supplies + cups kitchen Meds/bug spray

Liv Assignment ________________ wash cloths * *2* pillows * toiletries. *

Notes: The 12v car socket failed. Air mattress could not be used. Used the mattress as a ground sheet instead. Used the sleep bag and heavy cover as padding. Livie brought a light cover which became barely sufficient as the night became wet with humidity and temps dropped. Used another tarp to maintain sufficient sleep temperature.

TOO MUCH COFFEE!!!!

I should not have had so much coffee yesterday evening. Stayed up way too late and even then had trouble falling into deep sleep. Missed the trash pick up this mornin also. Great.

1 June, 2021

Somehow, I ended up sitting in a comfy chair in a church hallway with wifi and coffee watching the filming of a short film. All is good.

I've signed Olivia up on sdf.org and have given her the basics on how to use the commandline to do basic operations and update her website.

UKULELE!!

Olivia an I bought matching ukes over the weekend. She's off to a great start, learning how to play. I am transfering many songs I already know on guitar. Since ukes only have four strings and are tuned differently, it just takes a little adjustment to play the new chord patterns. I've been obsessed! It's such a tiny instrument and so much fun.

The weather prediction was way off. No hail. No storm. There is a light rain this morning. I did manage to clear a big space to pull the Honda into the garage in the worst case scenario.

SEASON OF CHAOS

The title may be a tiny bit of an exaggeration, but in reality, the late spring weather here in Indiana is not to be taken lightly. The weather reports indicate tennis ball to baseball sized hail overnight and as luck would have it, my area is in the red zone.

I may be able to pull one car into the garage. That still leaves 2 vehicles exposed. I'm thinking of some coverage for the 2 exposed vehicles. Maybe cardboard or blankets.
